Can I teach English in China with no experience?

Yes, it is possible! To be a teacher in China, you do not need any previous teaching experience. Once you have met all of the visa criteria, which include holding a bachelor's degree, a 120-hour TEFL certificate, and passing a criminal background check, you will be authorized to teach in China. Entry-level teaching opportunities with attractive pay are available at a number of institutions.

At any one moment, a large number of foreigners with no prior teaching experience are working in China as English teachers. Learning and gaining experience on the job is not only conceivable but, in certain cases, even desired in this environment.

Many schools give initial teacher training for new hires. Of course, having the appropriate qualifications as well as a substantial amount of teaching experience can significantly increase your chances of landing a better-paying teaching position at a more prestigious institution. Despite this, you may still get a well-paying teaching position if you have the necessary credentials but no prior teaching experience.

What are the requirements for someone who wants to teach English in China but has no previous experience?

While it is possible to teach English in China without any prior experience, you must have the following teaching credentials in order to do so:

A Bachelor's Degree is an academic qualification (in any subject)

TEFL Certification that is accredited and recognized

You must also meet the following requirements in order to be permitted to work in China:

Be a citizen of one of seven officially recognized English-speaking nations.

A clean criminal background check should be obtained

Have you obtained a working visa for China?

Pass a medical examination in accordance with Chinese government requirements.

There is also an age restriction (that is not too stringent) as well as other restrictions that must be met in order to be eligible to teach in China.
