I am writing to express my interest in the advertised position. I am currently working as a Postdoctoral Researcher, with strong expertise in robotics, autonomous systems, and control engineering. I recently completed my PhD in Systems Engineering (Automation) at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania, under the supervision of Dr. Lucian Bușoniu. My doctoral research, titled “Active Target Search Using Single and Multiple Agents,” focused on motion planning, cooperative control, and decision-making for multi-agent robotic systems. During my PhD, I also contributed to the SeaCLEAR (Horizon 2020) project, where I worked on the design and coordination of UAV and ROV platforms for underwater target detection and mapping. This experience gave me hands-on exposure to marine robotics, multi-robot coordination, and perception-driven planning in real-world environments. In my current postdoctoral role, I am extending this work toward energy-aware coverage control and adaptive multi-robot coordination, integrating AI-based planning methods such as CNN-based waypoint generation with classical control frameworks. My research combines theory, simulation, and real-world experimentation, and I am particularly motivated to apply these skills to projects with practical and societal impact. I have experience working in international research teams, contributing to funded projects, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and supporting academic teaching and supervision. I am enthusiastic about contributing my skills in robotics, control systems, and autonomous exploration to your team and collaborating on innovative research challenges.
