  Edwell Dzomba is a Kiswahili lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe's since April 2018. He also served as a contract lecturer in Kiswahili at the University of . He has extensive experience in research and teaching Kiswahili as a second language, and he has participated in Kiswahili curriculum reviews at the University of Zimbabwe and the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Some of his Kiswahili research findings have been presented at international Kiswahili conferences. His commitment to research is evident through his published papers in both Kiswahili and English in accredited journals, contributing valuable insights to the field. In 2018, working with the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education and Curriculum Development Unit in Zimbabwe, he translated the generic syllabus for Grade 3-7; Form 1-4 and Form 5-6 from English to Kiswahili.
