Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and visionary Country Director to lead the establishment and growth of our China subsidiary. This role will be responsible for driving postgraduate student recruitment and identifying executive education opportunities in the Chinese market. The successful candidate will serve as the senior representative of the university in China, ensuring alignment with global strategy while adapting to local market dynamics.Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the overall business strategy for China, focusing on graduate admissions and executive education growth. Market Development: Identify, evaluate, and pursue opportunities in postgraduate programs and executive training, ensuring the university’s offerings meet the needs of Chinese professionals and organizations. Partnership Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, corporations, academic institutions, and industry associations to expand the university’s presence and influence. Admissions Oversight: Lead recruitment campaigns for graduate programs, ensuring enrollment targets are met while maintaining high-quality student intake. Executive Education Expansion: Collaborate with headquarters to design and deliver executive training programs tailored to the Chinese market. Compliance & Governance: Ensure all operations comply with Chinese regulations and university policies, including licensing, accreditation, and reporting requirements. Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing local team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. Financial Management: Oversee budgets, P&L, and resource allocation to achieve sustainable growth and profitability. Brand Building: Represent the university as its senior spokesperson in China, enhancing brand visibility and reputation through events, media, and thought leadership.
职位要求
Qualifications & Experience Proven track record (10+ years) in senior leadership roles within higher education, executive training, or related industries in China. Strong understanding of the Chinese education market, regulatory environment, and corporate training landscape. Exceptional relationship-building skills with government, corporate, and academic stakeholders. Strategic thinker with hands-on execution ability, results-driven mindset, and entrepreneurial spirit. Excellent leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams. Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese is mandatory. Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s, or PhD) preferred.
