About the roleA leading contractor in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of major civil and building projects from inception to completion. This strategic role is ideal for a senior professional with a proven track record in managing full-cycle construction projects, including planning, execution, stakeholder coordination, and commercial oversight.Key Responsibilities: Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from pre-construction planning and design coordination to construction, commissioning, and handover. Lead project teams, including site managers, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with programme, budget, and quality targets. Manage client relationships, regulatory approvals, and stakeholder communications to ensure smooth project execution. Drive risk management, value engineering, and programme optimisation. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, safety standards, and statutory requirements. Provide strategic input on procurement, resource planning, and commercial decisions. Monitor project performance and lead reporting and governance processes. Requirements: Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, or a related discipline. Minimum 20 years of experience in large-scale civil and/or building projects, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects with full-cycle exposure. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Fluent in English; Cantonese proficiency is an advantage. Professional membership (e.g., MICE, MCIOB, HKIE) is preferred. **Candidates with slightly less experience may be considered for Deputy Project Director or Project Manager positions**
