Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing this letter to propose to you my apply for the position of French teacher. I am 34 years old and I finished in 2018 with a Master's degree in History of Art. I also obtained a Bachelor's degree in History an TEFL. My studies allowed me to have a huge general knowledge between the subjects taught, but also the options that I chose throughout my university courses. Thus I have a lot of knowledge in all the great periods of History (Antiquity, Middle Ages, Modern and Contemporary), in Geography, in History of Art and in Archeology, but also in Economy and Politic. After my Bachelor’s degree in History, I decided to specialize in History of Art which is a real passion. I completed two theses in Master. The first was in a book illustrated by a painter and illustrator of the nineteenth century native of Montpellier (France) named Edouard Marsal, and the second by Felix Regamey. For this last thesis, I studied the illustrations that Regamey produced for the book written by Emile Guimet on his return from his trip to Japan, entitled Promenades japonaises. For the realization of this thesis, I worked in connection with the Guimet museum, as well as within various archives. Professionally, I worked five years as a private teacher of french, spanich, english and history for an education and homework help center during my studies. My students were children and teenagers. Interested in education, loving contact with students, sharing my knowledge, I took the initiative in 2019 to pass the TEFL to be able to teach abroad, but with the pandemic my projects were slowed down and then I had family obligations to fulfill until now. Today, I would like to share my knowledge. Your offer is of great interest to me because this position would allow me to teach and to share my knowledge with the students. I like discovering new cultures and interacting with the different people I meet. I particularly like Asia, as you may have noticed in my thesis about the artistic and cultural exchanges between France and Japan, my personal journeys and my three-year apprenticeship in Chinese. I think I have the skills and qualities needed for this teaching job. I already gave private lessons to children and teenagers. I have exposed countless times my research work during my studies to groups of students, professors and researchers. I know how to adapt to my audience and speak with ease. I also believe I have the necessary qualities for this position: to be attentive, patient, rigorous, polite, smiling, calm and responsive. I am available and I can take the job whenever you want.
