I am Jordan Scoggin, a recent graduate from American University where I majored in Chinese Studies and received a Spanish Translation Certificate. I am passionate about learning languages, translation, and interpretation. I have taken translation classes in both Spanish and Mandarin Chinese and have experience translating documents. I studied abroad at National Taiwan University where I took intensive 3 hour per day Mandarin courses and acquired beneficial cultural knowledge. I was a translation intern and worked on a temporary Spanish translation project for TELUS International. I am a native English speaker and would love to use my native English skills and proficient Mandarin skills at this company in order to create translations that sounds natural and professional. I believe my Mandarin skills will help me communicate with clients and coworkers efficiently, and my background in other foreign languages such as Korean and Spanish can be useful for other projects.
