I am a Hungarian translator since 2013 (10+ years experience). I am a Hungarian native, born in Transylvania, Romania. I am a geologist, working as a research scientist, having degrees up to PhD (I am a PhD candidate). I do translations because I really enjoy working with texts, languages - I am from a multicultural environment, using 3 languages on a daily basis, I love to read, I also graduated in social sciences and arts (music), hence I have affinities towards humanities too - so I do translations as a hobby and as a side hustle. I usually translate from English/Romanian to Hungarian. I mostly worked for e-commerce companies, in the home&deco (Vivre Deco SA, 6 years) and cosmetics (Notino, 6+ years) fields, as part of the marketing team, but I had several other clients/ projects throughout the years, so I had various tasks regarding the Hungarian language, localizing for Hungary and Hungarian people. I am a hard-working and responsible person. My experience include: - copywriting/proofreading/translating marketing texts, ads, social media posts, product descriptions, blog articles, websites etc. - subtitles for videos, audio checking - customer support via email and phone - examiner (examining candidates for different jobs for Hungarian speakers, examining candidates for obtaining language certificate – writing, speaking, listening, reading) - developing CAT tools for Hungarian translations - other projects regarding developing websites, managements, customer experiences etc.
