Admissions Advisor Wanted in Shanghai, ChinaBurgeon Education (www.burgeon.org/en) is a leading education consulting firm in China which excels at finding Chinese students the right school to attend, we have been sending students to the UK, for over ten years. Our prestigious partner universities include University of Edinburgh and University of London. We started sending students to the United States in 2006 and have successfully established partnership with over one hundred American universities, colleges and boarding schools. We run education expos and seminars to introduce the latter to Chinese public and students.Currently we have one position:

Admissions Advisor:The Admissions Advisor will be travelling around China to provide advice to recruitment agencies, parents and students about Burgeon’s partner universities, colleges and schools. The education advisor works with prospective applications when they become our clients, guide them through the process of selecting the right colleges and schools, the admissions, and visa preparations. The advisor’s job thus resembles to great degree the college counseling in American high schools. As such, the advisor will eventually acquire a high degree of familiarity and knowledge know most of the entry requirement of the top 100 US schools as well as the programs and entry requirements of our partner schools but will also be trained to evaluate the academic credentials students receive in Chinese schools. The advisor will be based in Shanghai and will be asked to travel to other major cities in China.The frequency of travel will be 1-2 weeks per month.The ideal start date for the Education Advisor will be the 2nd week of October 2012 however this is negotiable. Requirement: 1. Graduate from a top U.S. university or college, 2. Good knowledge of U.S education system; 3. native English speakers are highly preferredSalary:RMB 8,000 per month, travel subsidy of 200 yuan per day. End-year bonus (after completion of 1 year contract: RMB20,000 to RMB 135,000, depends on how you hit the annual target);Domestic and international medical insurance will be provided (international coverage excluding the US and Canada).
