We are seeking a Copy Editor to join our financial news production team at our global headquarters in Beijing, China. Responsibilities: Review scripts for accuracy, style, balance and consistency. Check source material to ensure scripts are ready for air. Edit scripts to ensure they are understandable, interesting, creative and compelling. Strive to write accurate and up-to-date conversational anchor scripts. Serves as a close advisor on editorial, grammatical and news language issues. Verify the accuracy of all components of the program, including graphics and other on-air editorial elements. Properly format scripts, view video and images, and ensure scripts and images are synchronized. Take a proactive and diplomatic role in many aspects of program preparation. Collaborate with other team members to help determine the most creative and editorially accurate solutions.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher. 2+ years of professional media editing experience with strong editorial skills including accuracy, balance, language and style. Business or economic news editing experience preferred. Native English speaker. Successful writer with visual thinking skills. Ability to be flexible in breaking news, adapt to program or anchor style, and rewrite when necessary. Must be able to produce quality work in a fast-paced, demanding 24-hour live news environment. Overseas experience preferred. Extensive knowledge of current events, geopolitics and international relations, especially China and Asia-Pacific countries. Must be able to work irregular hours and extended hours as required by news cycles and deadlines. Proficiency in desktop editing software preferred.
