About us: Like Umami, which is a borrowed Japanese word that means “the essence of something delicious”, we aim to provide our customers with a great “eating out” experience through our collection of premium bento lunch boxes and other products. About you: We are looking for an imaginative individual who will be the creative force behind producing the marketing visual’s for Umami’s 2024-2024 lineup. We want someone who will conceptualize visuals based on the requirements that will be given, create images and layouts and test them across various media platforms. For this position, we need someone who is proficient in photoshop and has a good understanding of marketing and conveying messages through visual arts. Our ideal candidate is someone who has a flair for aesthetics and details and has a strong ability to translate requirement into design. Someone who is a self starter and can deliver brilliant artistic ideas. This is a full-time position and we will be requiring you to report to the office in Dongguan, China. Graphic Designer Goals: Plan concepts by studying relevant information and materials Illustrate concepts and deliver the ideas based on requirements Create a wide range of graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites with software such as photoshop. Schedule projects and define budget constraints Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements when necessary. Graphic Designer Responsibilities: Conceptualize visuals based on requirements Prepare rough drafts and present ideas Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic Work with copywriters and creative director to produce final design Test graphics across various media Amend designs after feedback Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand

Graphic Designer Requirements: Proven graphic designing experience for a brand or in advertising A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics Expert in Photoshop and Illustrator A keen eye for aesthetics and details Experience and passionate about Photography/Video will be a strong plus Excellent communication skills Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus Basic understanding of English and willing to improve English language
