With help from the Chinese Homeroom teacher and Ayi (Nanny/Aunt):<br/>Greet the children when they arrive to school, prepare the children for school, take the children outside for playtime and morning exercise, assist Chinese teacher and staff with the day-to-day duties of getting the children to eat their snacks and lunch, help put the children to bed at nap-time, play and communicate with the children (building an English environment in the classroom), teach your English lesson (generally once or twice a day), and help organize the children for bathroom breaks (making sure they wash their hands and not play in the water). During the children's nap-time, reports/records have to be filled out for the school and parents regarding the children's progress, and prepare lesson plans.

The teachers in each class must work together as a team, sharing in the responsibilities in the classroom. The teachers take turns to have their lunch, and assist each other controlling the children during their lessons, attend parent meetings, Teachers are required follow the curriculum, using the teaching materials provided, teach the children songs and play games.
