(5)Must have the ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis. (6)Have knowledge of and make use of relevant technology. Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following: (1)Prepare long term teaching plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning. (2)Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment. (3)Develop schemes of work, tests or assignments. (4)Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments. (5)Use technology to support and differentiate instruction. (6)Manage student behaviour. (7)Provide students with appropriate feedback. (8)Encourage and monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. (9)Observe, evaluate and record student performance and development. (10)Prepare reports on students and activities. (11)Participate in meetings when required. (12)Communicate with students, colleagues and parents with regard to student progress and student needs. (13)Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities. (14)Prepare class activities as appropriate.
