We are seeking an experienced Online English Editor and Proofreader to join our team at CompassEDU. As an Editor and Proofreader, you will ensure that all written application documents, such as personal statements, statements of purpose, reference letters, essays, writing samples, etc., are accurate, grammatically correct, and adhere to the Admissions Committee’s requirements.This is a remote position, allowing you to work from any location with a reliable internet connection.

Key Responsibilities:- Proofreading and Editing: Review and edit various documents, including curriculum vitae, reference letters, personal statements, essays, and writing samples, for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting errors.- Consistency Check: Ensure consistency in style, tone, and terminology across all documents.- Quality Assurance: Verify that all content aligns with standards and policies, making necessary revisions to maintain accuracy and clarity, especially regarding specialized knowledge.- Feedback and Suggestions: Provide feedback and suggestions to improve the quality of written content, with annotations or comments on revisions to better understand the specific field.Skills and Qualifications:- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree or higher in any field. Candidates with a degree in Economics, Finance, Journalism & Mass Communication, Engineering, and even interdisciplinary studies are highly encouraged to apply.- Native English speakers given priority； Non-native speakers must demonstrate a solid language foundation and adeptness in written communication in English.- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in editing and proofreading.- Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with proofreading tools and software such as MS Office, use of AI for editing or revision is strictly prohibited.- Time Management: Ability to meet deadlines（1-3 days/piece）and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.- Additional: Proven experience in proofreading or editing, preferably in an educational or academic context.
