Job Description We seek qualified and experienced English lecturers who are able to teach all four skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening) to undergraduate students. Textbooks are provided, but we are always striving to improve the program, and there are opportunities for interested faculty members to participate in the development of course content. Experience teaching English for Academic Purposes is preferred. We can assist successful candidates who hold a PhD and are not currently in mainland China to apply for a work visa, but our ability to obtain the relevant documentation remains dependent on the development of COVID-19 and is subject to change. Due to current visa policies, we are currently only able to interview non-PhD degree holders who are already working in mainland China or currently hold a valid Chinese work visa. We also welcome applications from Chinese candidates. This policy will be updated as travel restrictions change in the coming months. The English Language Center (ELC) at Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College (UIC) is a large and well-established department that offers a range of programs and support services for undergraduate study. Students enrolled in UIC degree programs are taught in English, so the ELC is responsible for ensuring that students are prepared to meet the language and academic requirements of programs that use English as the language of instruction.
