Developed an automatic braking system for a two-wheeled electric vehicle by interfacing with its existing electronic signal and integrating real-time computer vision for obstacle detection. The system uses YOLOv8, to detect object and estimated distance using bounding box size, which sets the speed setpoints. Jetson Nano manages images processing, ESP32 controls stepper motor with PID algorithm and data acquisition. Sensor data and control signals are logged to an SD card post-run analysis.
